Submission Guidelines

For Authors

JLPIS accepts submissions throughout the year. There are no submission or publication fees. Manuscripts are submitted and reviewed through the journal’s online system.

Before you submit

  • The manuscript is original, unpublished and not under review elsewhere.
  • It falls within the journal’s aims and scope.
  • All authors have approved the submission and agree to its publication under CC BY 4.0.
  • Any funding, conflicts of interest and use of AI tools are disclosed.

Manuscript preparation

  • Format: Microsoft Word (.docx), A4, 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing.
  • Abstract: 150–250 words, followed by 4–6 keywords.
  • Citation style: OSCOLA (4th edition), with footnotes. Social-science papers may use APA (7th edition) consistently.
  • Length: see the word limits for each article type.
  • Anonymisation: remove author names, affiliations and self-identifying references from the manuscript file.
  • Title page: a separate file with title, author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, email addresses and a short bio (50 words).

How to submit

  1. Register as an author on the journal’s submission system.
  2. Upload the anonymised manuscript and the separate title page.
  3. Complete the metadata (title, abstract, keywords, affiliations, ORCID) in English.
  4. You will receive an acknowledgement by email. The editorial office will complete a desk review within two weeks.

After acceptance

Authors receive copy-edited proofs for approval before publication. Each published article receives full open-access publication under CC BY 4.0, and authors keep copyright in their work.
